Movie Review... Star Wars, The Force Awakens
Disney foray into this Interstellar Saga is entertaining yes. But you'll keep waiting for Jedi Master Yoda and Obie Van Kenobie.. They're not in the schema.
Sabre light duels are too few and the Starfighters dogfights come in towards the end. Wish these were more. Chewbaka and C3PO alongwith Harrison Ford are interesting.
The meat of the story lies in Disney setting up two lesser trained Jedi, one already with the Dark side, Kylo Ren and the other, the girl, Daisy Ridley, who discovers her powers amidst a duel.
Disney is clearly setting stage for the sequel where Kylo Ren, to be trained by the Dark side and Daisy, set up to rendezvous with the now recluse in hiding Luke Skywalker to train her, fighting against Kylo.

The erudition scenes where Master Yoda or Obie showed light are missing, to my guesstimate are likely in the sequel of Luke teaching young Daisy.
Special effects are enjoyable, yet not enough. There is a reflection of Communist Soviet era in the Armies of the Sith, avoidable.
Entertainer yes. This one won't cut Cult status....

Bright side... R2 D2 is brought back with power on.... and there's a cute new Robotina all along... she's round and named R 88 I think...
